Vietnam day 4

Halong Bay trip today..super tiring bus journey to the jetty where we can board the boat..Its around 3 hrs drive..
We stopped over at a handicraft shop in between for toilet break..

Finally we saw our boat..

There were small boats selling fruits and food and Ed bought the pineapple to try..

Stop over at a small area where they sold seafood..just before lunch..

We had sometime for a short 45mins canoeing..mi and ed went for it and Charmaine stayed on board..

We passed through the so called caves and there was super nice scenery..but i was so scared that the canoe will overturned that i didnt really enjoyed the whole of it..Argh!!! screams!!

Then it was 3 hrs journey back to the hotel..Yawns!!!!Zzzzz

Vietnam day 3

It's time to leave Hugh's hometown and moved on to Hanoi city..His parents and family had been a great host to us these 2 days..got van for us to go around, paid for our meals and even gave us a hongbao each..super nice..
For breakfast, they prepared the specialty for us and brought these to the hotel for us..

The first thing we did when we reached Hanoi. KFC for lunch..

After that go for the famous grilled fish..its super oily but quite nice..

Then we proceed on to Ho Chi Minh Musuem..

Up next ice cream....

Took a stroll along the lake..

Dinner was at a restaurant that looked like marche style..

Very nice crabs..

Surprisingly they had chendol too..

Finally went back to hotel and rest..tml will be a long day..its off to Halong bay!

Vietnam Day 2

2nd day started with breakfast..we had B'un..

I tried one mouth due to the persuasion of Dean..tasted....................like egg loh..

Visit to the wood furniture stores..they manually polished the carvings and painted before selling..

Took some time to go walk walk around and we stopped by for the famous vietnamese coffee..

Went back to the hotel, dressed up for dean's big night..
