Fire station and dim sum + sentosa

Rec club organised a fire station tour and a dim sum buffet today..only pay $10 for the buffet which was original $15.90+++..gd bargain rite? Haha..

The most exciting thing was the ride up into the sky..but the queue was super long...

After the firestation tour, we went for dim sum buffet!! Nice and very full too..

Later, i met up with some friends at sentosa for beach volleyball..never played beach volleyball before..its was so sunny until 2 of inky friends came, heavy rain began to pour.. sianZZ!! we havent even played for 1 hr..so we hide from the rain, travelled back to the station..then the rain stopped..so we decided to go play again..until the rain came again..haiz..so in the end, decided to go have dinner at vivocity to end the day!!

Met joeline, miao and huimin for dinner..since joeline came back from US,we haben met up yet..so huimin decided to go chinese garden for dinner...chinese garden??? got things to eat meh???lol..in the end went to kopitiam for dinner loh..

Eason at HMV

Went to orchard area met up with a friend for lunch to chat..Nothing much to do also and suddenly remember that Eason was having his autograph session at HMV..so we went there and watch loh..

He was really late..the autograph should start at 4pm but we waited until 5pm..haiz..anyway i just wan to hear him sing "live"..He was really comical and very active..like a "little" boy..

Later met up with my sec sch friends for dinner at jp and chat again..the 1st time i sat at jp KFC for a whole 3 hrs without moving..my buttocks hurt!! haha..

Suaiest day of my life

It's a suai day for mi and my dear sister!!Haiz..

My sis wanted to go IMM to buy her formal wear for her presentation on tue so i accompany her walk walk loh..we waited at the busstop for 99 to go IMM..waited for a long time then one bus came.. It was behind 2 buses..my sis went forward to signal the bus to stop but in the end, the bus juz go without us..SHIT!! the bus driver!! blind meh! cant see us..haiz..so had to continue wait loh..abt another 15mins, another bus arrived..

When we were half way through the journey, heavy rain started to pour..I ask my sis" did u bring umbrella since u got bring bag? She say she never..ARGH!!! Shit!! then how are we going to walk from the bus stop to IMM then..so we had to walk to JE mrt station and board the shuttlebus..its another long wait again!!

After shopping and eating our dinner, we walked to JE interchange to board a bus hm..cant decide to take 334 or 335..cos we wanted to go hm fast to catch the table tennis finals between China and Singapore..my sis suggest to take 335..so we waited..waited and waited..until 3 334 had passed us..OH MY!! i wanted to take 334 instead when the 2nd bus came..but she told mi 335 is coming le la..so we waited for abt 30mins and she started to curse and swear!!

Then finally board 335..and then something happened..the bus supposed to turn at one junction but it didnt..it went straight to lakeside MRT station..all passengers were so shocked..so the driver explained that there was an accident which blocked the way to turn..SHIT again!! now the bus had to make a detour..so i decided to go down at lakeside mrt and walked hm..it will be faster bah!! so in the end, we only managed to catch the last glimpse of the competition!! haiz..SUAI AH!!

Anyway congratulations to the singapore team for winning the silver medal in the table tennis team event..yeah!! after 48 yrs of waiting..Horray!!

8 olympics gold medals

He did it!! Michael Phelps!! horray!! 8 olympics gold medals..it's really a great moment for him and for the spectators!!


Exciting 4x100m medley relay for the USA team to end the last day of swimming..USA was in the third placing before Phelps jumped in as the 3rd leg swimmer..with his great swim in the butterfly..he managed to led the US team to 1st place before the last swimmer jumped in..the team finished 1st in a world record of 3:29.34 Wooh!!

ultimate magic

Ultimate magic show at the arena at clarke quay was the event on my sat evening..met up with NQAC colleagues for dinner at burger king before finding our way to the arena..Was expecting a wonderful magic show that will send mi "woo!! argh!! amazing! how did they do this"But in the end, it was not..it's not an exciting and awesome performance..not at all..OH MY!! wanted to fall asleep le..boring!! maybe that's singapore magic standard bah!!

Later, they wanted to have a drink somewhere so we went to hooters with the boss too..had a couple of drinks and snacks..tok tok a bit..i was watching the watch cos i wanted to catch the 100m butterfly again on tv at 11pm..haha..but its a bit awkward to juz leave so i waited..anyway luckily they replayed the swim at the last of the programme again..so i did see him performed again!

thinking of not going to pilates tml morning and watch him get his 8th gold medal! a great moment in the history of Olympics!! Muz watch!!

Won 7 gold medals in the olympics 2008 and eyeing for the 8th gold tml morning in the 4x100m medley relay..

This morning the 100m butterfly individual was so exciting..and so close!! i thought he was going to lose the gold medal..in the end, he won by one-hundredth of a second, but didnt managed to break the world record..the only swim he won without breaking the world record..anyway still very happy for him to get his seventh gold medal..

Let's all watch this freak performance tml morning when he won the eighth gold medal and break the record again!!

Frustrated with work

Frustrated!!! frustrated!!! really very frustrated..some pple really dun noe their responsiblity and work to be done!! i really dun understand why some pple can be so irresponsible..this thing happened again and again and i got fed up again and again..this time even worse..

Wed, only packed 4 columns for the analysis and do evaporation..evaporating dun really take time juz need to go there adjust the pressure now and then..tat's all..

Thur, even worst..ask that person to go do protein which involved digestion in the morning and operating the machine in the afternoon..usual i do 4 samples less i do until 4pm only..and when i told him to do 4 more samples than usual, he say it's a lot. will take a long time..OH GOD!! how long wil tat be..maybe to 4 plus to 5pm bah..hello!! our working time is until 5.30pm k?? and i dun tink u got more things to do than mi loh..so in the end, he only do the digestion and sitting and lazing around in the afternoon..finally offered help to help mi although i dun need his help..but cant let pple see got pple lazing around ma..anyway he only managed to help mi do 3 beakers..

he even had time to ask mi his home work, mi as a gd person, i answered his question and point out that he miscalculate..
he reply mi that "Oh, too tired le so calculate wrongly.."
I say" tired???? u only do digestion only, u tired???"
He reply " cos yesterday nite sleep late"
I reply " wat u do at night then"
He said" online"
I say" then tat your choice"
Thinking to myself "u wan to sleep late ,tat your choice but dun complain to mi u tired cos u nv really do a lot of things today loh..and be more responsible k..even u tired but tats ur job..dun u feel ashamed that u nv do anything and everyone else was so busy with their work.."

Today, i am really fed up, dun really wan to talk to him and even see him..i think he know tat i am fed up..so he say he do the protein and then the green tea analysis..ok loh..at least he make himself useful today..

But in the end, i being a nice person, while doing my egg allergen analysis, packed 4 columns and even do evaporation for his samples 1st before mine..AM I REALLY VERY STUPID???
After that, i wanted to filter my samples ignoring his samples which i already completed for him..but in the end, i still help him filtered..STUPID MI!! it's ok to help but he didnt even say thank you for your help!!ARGH!!!!

I told myself i am helping him this last time..really the last time..not doing his stuffs for him in the future le..

Dear colleagues if u see mi helping him again, please slap mi and tell mi "dun be stupid and be such a gd person le"Thank you very much!!

And anyone please tell mi how to handle this kind of person???can my boss see wat is happening??haiz!!!

Tao Li

Tao Li the heroine of Singapore..only 18 yrs old..the 1st "Singaporean" swimmer to reach the Olympics 100m butterfly finals..and she got 5th in the finals which is really a great achievement for her..great job done! Jia you Singapore team!!

will continue to keep a close watch on swimming (my favourite event)becos got micheal phelps..lol.. :)

Long weekend

this week is a long weekend for mi..cos company close on fri since national day is on a sat..

So wat did i did on this long weekend leh??

Fri afternoon went to jp watch money no enough 2 with my mum, sis and my auntie..had dinner then go hm and catch the opening ceremony of the olympics..

Sat afternoon went to the 12 lotus concert at expo with my aunties and mummy details on my previous post..

Sun the last day of long weekend was spent at Je Kbox at 11.30am..it was damn cold there..see how shan wrapped herself..lol :)

Later, went to peaberry and pretzel and had some desserts..they got real nice desserts..

12 lotus concert

my aunt got 4 tics to go for the 12 lotus concert at expo..of course i am not interested but my mum was.. but all the aunties dun noe how to go there..so i will have to accompany the 3 aunties there loh..haiz..

Beijing Olympics 2008 - Opening Ceremony

080808 at 8pm..Olympics opening ceremony in Beijing!!
I was watching it on tv and it was spectacular..really a great job done!!really love it!!Wanted to find videos of the scenes that i like but cant find..maybe copyright issues bah..anyway, these pics are the parts that i found spectacular!!


It a globe that rise from the center of the stage (which is the scroll) and it represent something like a globe..and there are pple hanging on it and running on it..cool!!


That the scroll.. and this one i really think was lovely done!! the little blocks of squares in the center were all controlled by humans..and the timing and coordination muz be very accurate to get the real pics or words they want to represent..Oh My!! that take time to practise!!

And of course the great fireworks put up!!


The lighting of the Olympics torch signified the opening of the 16 days Olympics games!!

Its my boss (my lab manager) bday today!! held a small celebration for her..surprised her with a big fruit cake..thanks to wailing who bought it to the company..

Woman's age is a secret so we only place one candle..lol..

So Surprised to see that the 3 of us wearing similar colours for our tops and bottom!! lol.. so we had to take this photo...

JC outing

JC outing le..expected to be 3 pple again..mi, huimin and see ning..but surprise total of 6 persons turned up..lol..thanks to the organizer, huimin efforts..the 1st time so many pple turn up..

We met at bugis at around 12.30pm..mi and see ning were there 1st so we decided where to eat..so in consideration of the food that i can eat..we went to "mongkok cha chan ting" at level 2 and waited for the others to arrive..

Had a great time playing games and chatting and eating..sob..i cant eat the snacks!!
